DMT Tournament
Trail
Are You Ready To Fish?
Pre-Season Meeting: Monday, February 1st. 7:00 pm
- Dixie Marine
Welcome to the 2010 DMT Tournament season. We have
created a new Central Trail like none you have fished
before. During our winter meeting we will be covering
our new 90% entry fee paybacks, limited 70-boat field,
Chase
The Cash Race! (Points leaders race), our new “optional”
100% payback, Two Boat - Four Man, tournament within
a
tournament at each tournament, and much more. This
new “working-man’s” format will
make the competition more
competitive, giving all teams more ways to compete,
and win more cash.
We will also have three open tournaments this year.
The 2010 DMT Classic will be held on May 29, 30, for
our 2009
qualifiers in Maysville, KY. There will be no Seniors
Trail for 2010. The participation last year did not
justify having a
trail this year. We tried very hard to merge with
another senior circuit, and it just did not work out.
Combing the
anglers from last years Central & Seniors Trails
will result in the following for 2010: The Central
Trail field will be
capped at 70 paid entries and three assistance teams
for the year. All boat positions will be determined
by the date
your entry fee is paid. To guarantee your boat position
for the year, you may pay all of your entry fees up
front -
$840.00 for six tournaments. You may also reserve
a field position by paying a $50.00 deposit per tournament.
Your
deposit can be for all six tournaments ($300.00) with
the balance due for each on the Wednesday before the
tournament. If you chose to reserve several tournament
the deposit is the same, but your remaining balance
of $90.00
for each tournament must be paid by ten (10) days
prior to the tournament. Entry fees not paid in this
time frame will
forfeit their reserved field status (not your deposit),
and then any teams on the waiting list will be contacted
for their
entry. To compete in the 2010 Central Trail Tournaments,
you must be a DMT member. If you are in need of a
partner, let us know.
We feel that tournament fishing is all about the competition,
and the whole field having a chance to win the cash.
This
year we will pay one place for every five boats. In
2009 we invested in our computerized weigh-in equipment
where
the scales call your team’s weight, not the
weigh master. When your tournament dollars are on
the line, 1/100 of an
ounce does make a big difference in the cash you take
home. This was proven in several tournaments last
year.
Our DMT Tournament Trail is run where all anglers
can compete on a fair and even basis. Last fall several
teams
were given truth verification tests and they passed
them. These tests cost us $350.00 each. If you think
someone can
get past these federally approved examiners, you need
to fish another trail. During the meeting, you will
be asked to
vote if you want to have these tests done at every
tournament. It will add $5.00 to your entry fee.
We know it is very important where you choose to spend
your tournament dollars. From our professional staff,
tournament rules and well-equipped tournament trailer,
this is our guarantee that your tournaments will be
run as they
should be. From its beginning six years ago, the DMT
Trail has always been business, as are all other tournament
trails. Our tournaments take an unbelievable amount
of year round work and dedication to produce. If the
trail cannot
expect a reasonable amount of participation, it will
no longer exist in the future. The more teams that
participate this
season, the more cash there will be for you to win.
We would appreciate your support and help in getting
other anglers
to fish the trail.
Enclosed is our 2010 entry form and rules. Please
take the time to study it. Once you understand what
we are doing
this year, we believe you will really like what we
have planned. We invite everyone young or old, male
or female, to
put a team together and fish with us. It’s all
about the competition and having fun. We truly appreciate
everyone’s
support over the years.
Looking forward to seeing you!
Dan & John

NEWS
Fishing Friends
Lost!
Charles “Chuck”
Howard” December 11, 2009
DMT & Dixie Marine have lost a great
friend and fisherman. Chuck lost his battle with cancer
on December 11, 2009. Bass fishing was one of Chuck’s
great loves in life, whether it was with a buddy or
with his many tournament friends. Chuck helped Dixie
Marine start and run our DMT tournaments from their
beginning in 2005. Chuck will be sadly missed by all.
Our condolences go to his wife Maria and his family.
James “Wayne”
Snider November 14, 2009
DMT and Dixie Marine have lost a great
friend and tournament competitor in Wayne. Wayne spent
a lot of his life as a dry wall contractor, but his
main passion was bass fishing all over the country.
We remember Wayne’s philosophy of fishing: “if
they are not biting here today, they will be somewhere
tomorrow”. Then off he would go to another lake
or river. Our condolences go to his soul mate Mitzie
and his family.
Russell Reid November
3, 2009
Our condolences go to Bret Reid and
his family for the loss of their father and fishing
partner. Bret is our web master for the DMT web site.
Delbert "Mac"
McGee November 29, 2009
DMT & Dixie Marine has lost another long time
friend in Delbert "Mac" McGee. Mac passed
away on November 29,2009. Mac & his son Norman
fished our tournaments many years. Our condolences
go out to Norman and the family.
